The Center Pitch was built on the concept "tune the musician, not the instrument". This device easily clips on and off any standard music lyre. Just clip it on, sound a note, read the display with six arrows showing an on pitch note, and adjust your embouchure to match the on-pitch note. From double-pianissimo to double-forte, from pedal tones to highest registers, Center Pitch clearly shows what embouchures do with intonation.
Personal Intonation Tuner
Center Pitch uses the vibrational energy of the horn and does not use a microphone or a clumsy cable. It "feels" the pitch. Its primary purpose is as a practice tool for personal practice time. After playing a note, the student can "point" with their embouchure to make the proper adjustment. Center Pitch determines the accuracy to within 1 cent. Use it when practicing long tones, lip slurs, octaves, scales, arpeggios and other elements of music. Students think it's fun because Center Pitch only responds to their notes. Great Teaching Tool!
