The goal of the FORMULA TM SERIES designs was to exaggerate the character of the original guitars instead of making changes for the sake of change. If you look, you will see that the upper bout has been brought in about a quarter of an inch on both sides. The change in proportion actually makes the cutaway appear more extreme without taking away from the character of the guitar.
